Why is India not a developed country?

Many reasons like corruption, over-population, and illiteracy are responsible for this. The primary reason was corruption. Corruption started when the British invaded India. They had a policy that the officials that were posted to India were very well paid and were punished for any dishonesty. India then gained independence in 1947 and the first Prime Minister of India Jawahar Lal Nehru took over, he retained the extensive powers of the British Administration and reduced the salaries. (Pascal 4,5). This reduction in salaries was apparently a bad decision for the future of India. People started feeling the need of more money because their salaries weren’t sufficient to fulfill their needs. So, the government officials like policemen and ministers started accepting bribes from the public to get their job done. This was the rise of corruption in India.

Review: Research Proposals

I felt that most of the presenters knew what they were supposed to do. Almost all of them had statistics and facts related to their topic. Some of the topics were not as researchable as required, but the effort was seen. I noticed that most of the students hadn't used the MLA format for the citations.  I think that I had used all the fixtures and facts required for my argument. The only thing I feel was missing in my presentation was the MLA citation. I could do a better research on my focal points and use more facts and incidents to put my argument in a good position.

Topic- India

My topic is India. Research question - Why is India still a third world country? Claim-    India is not yet as developed as many countries in the world because of its illiteracy levels, population, corruption, lack of unity, high levels of pollution and dirty politics in every sector. Why this topic? I love India. But after I moved to the States, I always had this question in mind, why can't India be one of these developed countries? India is visibly growing after industrialization hit India. But something is still missing. So I thought of choosing this topic to get to know about the problems and letting others know that India is no less than any other country, it's just that there are too many barriers in the system itself that are stopping it from growing. Audience-  I would like my audience to be the people who are interested to know about another country and who would be attentive enough to ask questions if any. The person on the right is a minister( bas

Stand By Me.

Invention There was certainly a lot of preparation and money required for this song. They had to travel all around the world to meet different singers and get them prepared. The air fare, the equipment, the crew and many more people that were behind preparing or composing the song required loads of money. They had to look for suitable artists for the song, though they were all roadside artists. Disposition The setting of the video was in many different countries including the USA, South Africa, Netherlands and many more. This was one of the ways used to show the main idea that, no matter who you are, you will always need someone to stand by your side.  Style The lyrics and language of the song were easy to understand. The old song was used as a good attraction that supported his idea. The perfect song was chosen, and the message was delivered. The music had an emotional effect on the listeners.  Memory The lyrics were perfectly delivered by the talented singers which sup

Response To "Violent media is good for kids"

In "Violent media is good for kids", Jones takes the position that violent media is not that bad for kids. He uses many of his personal experiences to make his argument. In the first Paragraph he tells us a little about his life. He says, "Places in a small, experimental school that was wrong for me, afraid to join my peers in their bumptious rush into adolescent boyhood, I withdrew into passivity and loneliness. His parents never trusted the violent world and never let him merge with the american pop culture. Then The Incredible Hulk smashed into his life. He uses the next four paragraphs talking about how The Hulk changed his way of seeing life. For example, he says that it was the character that "caught" and "freed" him. He was impressed and obsessed with the over gendered, under socialized and raging nature of the Hulk. In paragraph 6, he talks about his son. He uses an incident which included his son's friends climbing a tree which his

Russia Probe

SARAH SANDERS In this video, all the questions were answered with facts and a reason. So, LOGOS was strongly used in this argument. For example, when the speaker was asked about the uranium deal, she used many facts to justify her answer. TOMI LAHREN In this video, the speaker argues in a very aggressive way. So, the ETHOS of the speaker was aggressive and informative. She was very informative and factual reasoning took place, so LOGOS was there in the argument too. MARK MAZETTI In this video, Mark clearly uses pathos in his argument. He strongly states that the Russia probe is due to George. He uses examples and facts to prove his statement. MATT APUZZO In this argument, Matt uses pathos while talking about the leaked emails.
